The flyer has been labelled sectarian

 'Fenian' is a old word for a Catholic and is often used by religious bigots to describe Catholics in a derogatory manner.

 In the same way as an ignorant, racist white person would use the word 'Paki' to describe a person of Pakistani origin or the word 'Nigger' to describe an African American.

Or as in the flyer above used to advertise a 'friendly' march with young masked men giving what look decidedly like fascist salutes as they make their way to a football match with a fellow Glasgow club whom they dub 'the fenians'.

Glasgow MSP James Dornan has apparently taken a break from Twitter after being on the receiving end of moronic comments like the one below from the anonymous Bowery Boy.

 But Dornan's dead right - these bigots and bullies should not be wallowed to march through the streets of Glasgow with the message of bile and hate.

 And it's the job of the police and other local authorities to come up with a strategy to stop them from doing so again.

 Well done to the Scottish Sun, by the way, for exposing these ugly bigots in our midst.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer. So here's a list of activities which will help shine a light on what has been going on because as Lord Nolan once said apropos driving up standards in public life - 'daylight is the best disinfectant'.
