'Sons of Bitches'

Donald Trump has a real nasty habit of calling people a 'sonofabtich' or 'sons of bitches' if he's abusing more than one person.

Now if you ask me, this is hateful and vile language for anyone to use because the mother of the person in question is being called a 'bitch' - even though the woman has nothing to do with whatever Trump is angry about.

 "No one respects women more that Donald J Trump", Donald J Trump is fond of saying - yet the President of the United States regularly uses this ugly, misogynistic language which is not worthy of the great office he holds.

What would Trump think if people started referring to his mother Mary as a bitch or his son Barron as the son of a bitch?

Trump knows better, of course, but his behaviour and language appeals to the boorish, macho and male American voter - while the born again Christians look the other way and pretend they haven't heard a thing.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer. So here's a list of activities which will help shine a light on what has been going on because as Lord Nolan once said apropos driving up standards in public life - 'daylight is the best disinfectant'.
