 The Herald reported the other day that the indigenous people of Scotland behind the Indycamp at Holyrood are all fighting among themselves after a disastrous hearing in front of Lord Turnbull at the Court of Session.

Apparently, the once happy campers did not realise that they could become liable for the costs of the hearing at Scotland's highest civil court and are now not best pleased with the advice from their 'legal team' who happen not to be legally trained.

 Ah well, as the saying goes, it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

HOLYROOD'S indycamp has been thrown into turmoil following a disastrous eviction hearing at Scotland's top civil court.

Major infighting has broken out between factions associated with the camp, which was established when activists arrived on the Scottish Parliament estate in November and vowed to maintain a vigil for independence until the country leaves the UK.

Much of the conflict centres around a list of 238 people whose names were put forward to the Court of Session as being party to the 'the sovereign and indigenous peoples of Scotland', the collective name used by the campers to respond to the court action.

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer. So here's a list of activities which will help shine a light on what has been going on because as Lord Nolan once said apropos driving up standards in public life - 'daylight is the best disinfectant'.
