 The Sunday Times reported at the weekend that half of Jeremy Corbyn's shadow cabinet are prepared, in principle, to support air strikes on the fascist murderers in Syria who call themselves the Islamic State (IS).

 Now that has to be progress even if the UK Government has still to explain what this kind of limited military action is likely to achieve, but as things stand it makes no sense to be able to mount targeted air strikes in Iraq but not in neighbouring Syria, especially as IS care not a jot for international boundaries. 

So while Labour MPs may rebel against their new leader it comes down to doing the right thing and being prepared to take action against a band of Islamist fanatics who are enslaving fellow human beings and murdering innocent people for fun.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
