North Lanarkshire Update

The news from the latest round of settlement negotiations is that while some more of the i's have been dotted and more of the t's crossed, there is still some work to be done before there is any finalised agreement with North Lanarkshire Council.

So the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) needs to be fine tuned in a number of key areas and apparently NLC requires 'political authority' before endorsing any agreement which means, I presume, seeking approval from the next full Council meeting.

In any event it is likely to be a little while yet before it's possible to say that all of the outstanding issues have been resolved and I suspect things are likely to go relatively quiet for a few days because some of the key players are now on leave.

But as soon as there is any more news to report I'll share the details here on the blog site and so in the meantime - just sit tight.
