North Lanarkshire (18/10/14)

A number of readers have been in touch to ask if the tribunal dates I posted yesterday mean that settlement negotiations with North Lanarkshire Council have completely broken down.

Well the answer is that Council officials still have time to put firm and acceptable settlement proposals on the table which Action 4 Equality Scotland (A4ES) can recommend to its 3,000 plus clients in North Lanarkshire.

But the Council was supposed to do this by the end of August and all these weeks later we are all still waiting for North Lanarkshire to do what it said it would do - back in the summer.

If you ask me, perhaps the only way to persuade the Council to 'get its finger out' might well be another round of tribunal hearings, so we shall see what happens over the next few days.
