Branch Office Interviews



So the trade union triumvirate which brought us Ed Miliband as the leader of the UK Labour Party - GMB, Unison and Unite - have all decided to back Neil Findlay as the man to run Labour's branch office in Scotland.

 And if I'm not mistaken the unions also threw their weight behind Johann Lamont in the last Scottish election as well.

 So it will be interesting to see how many unions members vote, but I'm betting that a lot less than 10% will bother to do so which makes the whole thing a joke, if you ask me.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
