A Good Question




During the lifetime of the present Westminster Parliament (i.e. since 2010), how many times have you heard David Cameron, Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg, Gordon Brown or Johann Lamont (the nominal Scottish Labour Leader) make a big speech demanding 'Devo Max' for the Scottish Parliament?

 The answer is, of course, never - not that I've heard of anyway and if there had been I would certainly have said something on the blog site, for sure.

 Which is why it's impossible to trust these politicians because they are acting out of sheer panic rather than political principle.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
