Number Crunching
The Guardian likes to think of itself as a radical, progressive, vaguely left-of-centre newspaper which counts amongst its luminaries true giants of journalism such as Seumas 'Shameless' Milne.
But as the latest edition of Private Eye points out, The Guardian doesn't always live up to its reputation.
NUMBER CRUNCHING
£1.4 million
Total corporation tax paid by Guardian Media Group, despite making £549 million profit after sale of Auto Trader
£1.4 million
Bonus paid to Guardian chief executive Andrew Miller for selling Auto Trader, on top of his £696,000 salary
And The Guardian always has plenty to say, of course, about the 'greedy' behaviour of the nation's bankers.
