Nigel's World Leaders

I enjoyed this spoof by Private Eye setting out the thoughts of the UKIP leader Nigel Farage on great political leaders throughout history.

NIGEL FARAGE'S GUIDE TO GREAT LEADERS
AROUND THE WORLD

Stalin Often vilified, this much misunderstood Ruskie hard man was in fact a good egg, always the first to buy a round of vodkas in his local. Leaving all that business in the salt mines aside at least he never banned smoking in pubs. Note: Good healthy soup-strainer, and firm haircut above the collar.

Hitler Of course I can dwell on the negatives, like the fact he was German, but we can totally miss the point that Adolf liked shiny cars, was a terrific chap to have a pint of pilsner with during Oktoberfest, and loved a knees-up and a sing song with Eva. Big fan of funny uniforms, oompah music and side partings. Note: He never disappeared off to the toilets when it was his round, unlike today's useless European leaders.

Pol Pot Oh yes, we can harp on about Tear Zero and the genocide of the Cambodian people, totally overlooking what excellent company Pol Pot was of an evening, as he put the world to rights propping up the bar with a pint of Old Peculiar and a packet of Pork Scratchings in the snug of the Old Lion in downtown Phnom Penh. Good haircut above the ears, and no need for fancy styling mousses and the like.
