Must Read

Here are two of the 'most read' stories from the latest edition of Private Eye.

THE EYE'S MOST READ STORIES

'We're innocent' insists America

America has rubbished Edward Snowden's claims that the CIA has some all-powerful insidious spying operation  monitoring everybody's e-mails.

"If Snowdens' claims were true then we would have known well in advance of his plans to flee Hong Kong, and our NSA agents would have been waiting at the airport to drug him with a poison tip umbrella and bundle him in the back of a car," insisted a White House spokesman.

"The fact that the first I heard about it was on Digital Spy when I was Googling for the weather proves we're not spying on anyone."

Ecuador seeks asylum from whistleblowers

The entire population of Ecuador took the world by surprise today as it sought refuge in Venezuela from whistle-blowers such as Eric Snowden.

"What are we, the dustbin of the world for every American geek who has suddenly developed a conscience?" said the population of nearly fifteen million people.

Meanwhile Wikileaks founder Julian Assange confirmed that he had been in contact with Eric Snowden advising him that they should go out partying together ASAP, as he knows the numbers of some really hot Swedish girls.
