Merry Christmas!

Like most people I will be enjoying the festive holiday over the next few days. 

So I would like to take this opportunity to say two things. 

Firstly, a big thank you to all those people who keep things going at this time of year - when everyone else is enjoying a break from work.

To name but a few - all of the many carers in the community, the transport workers, police, emergency services, NHS staff, shop workers and all the folks who work in bars and restaurants - right through the festive period.

Secondly, to all readers of the blog site - at home and abroad - a very Merry Christmas and best wishes to you and yours - over the holidays!

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
