TV Control, Darling?

I don't like to laugh at other people's misfortunes - but sometimes you just can't help yourself.

And yesterday was a case in point when I read about a new bride - who stabbed her husband to death in an argument - about what to watch on television.

Puts a whole new light on my tendency - along with the rest of the male population apparently - to hog the TV remote control.

The Old Bailey in London yesterday heard the sorry tale of how Leonora Sinclair (50) stabbed her new husband Lloyd (73) in the thigh - after their angry TV dispute.

But then decided to say he had fallen on a broken wine glass - as he lay bleeding to death.

Witnesses claim the new bride had a history of domestic violence against her new husband of only ten months - but the newly widowed Leonora denies a charge of murder.

Me - I'm taking no chances - next time Strictly Comes Dancing comes on I'm heading out for a drink.
